Hello dear internet viewer,
It's been a few months that I had not presented a chess game… In fact, there are still many interesting to present in my collection, but I didn't have the will to receive for each these kind of retarded comments I get constantly get for my video of Battle Chess enhanced version for which the game in the video that accompanied my article eventually lead to a stealmate instead of a checkmate that should have been easy… Wow, it is so tragic, let's all cry in chorus. So it's for this reason that I waited for be well awaked before embarking on another video about a chess game. Like this, I will not have to read or moderate comments from these fuckin' douchetards who do not understand that the idea of the videos that I make are not made in order to show my talents, but to show in the purest of its shapes the games that I'm talking about, so videos that looks like a spontaneous as if it was a first experience, even though often it may take several hours before having something decent. The important thing for me, it is not the quality of the video, but what to add something to complement my articles! Because yes, as a player, I am a lot superior than what that I show in my videos.
And since it's been several months that I had not presented a chess game, I decided today to present the best I had left on my list to present, i.e., Grandmaster Chess developed by IntraCorp, Inc., but published by Capstone Software in 1992.
A chess game which has the characteristic of being fully customizable. And when I say totally, i really mean in every aspect. Yes, we can add our own skins, change music, sound effects, the voices, board types, etc. But that is not all, this is not only in aesthetics that we can customize everything, but also in the games strategies that the CPU will use. And no, it is not only try to adapt to your playstyle, but you can integrate an artificial intelligence based on real players, by adding movement by movement a complete game. Which then allows the game to analyze the ponderable and create realistic opponents. Not just a CPU with a virtually unbeatable difficulty level, because in a real game, the idea, it's to dig into the opponents weaknesses. And, that is what the game translates well, It allows you to cause you to see things differently, not just something linear. Not just, learning basic strategies, but to know how to compete against different intelligences styles.
Of course, in the video below, I have configured the CPU so it behaves like an impatient player, but that still has some bases. You will therefore notice, that despite the fact that my pieces have all been displaced, I went there purely defensively. So that to attack me, it had no choice to expose two pieces at a time. Ironically, one thing that you'll notice, the impatient players always seek to get rid of your knights first. Stupid mistake they make all time, because these Knights who are only moving in L, are surgical. So, given that the impatient tend to attack early, well, they are attacking pieces that are rather harmless to them, because the impatient, mainly use, the bishop, the queen and the rooks, so that knights can not reach because their attack are always remote and the even a player with minimum intelligence would know that, if he is massively attacked, well, he will not compromise its main pieces by attacking with the knights… The knights in a defensive situation are primarily used to bait to bring closer these pieces which their strong aspect is the long-range, so making them vulnerable, making null and void such an attack when the opponent all have his peon. It's really stupid to attack the knights early in game, if you are an impatient player.
To conclude, does the game is the best all the time? It is hard to say, it really depends on your chess ambitions. If your objective is to play with the most difficulty as possible, to make this game the best, you need to enter all the intense games that had beem there in the history of world chess league in order to create a more logical than any human, monster. In counterpart, if you are looking for a realistic CPU calibers player style while being able to add fancy graphics to the game, clearly, it will satisfy you. A game that I can advise to players of all levels whether you are professional or not, you will find your bread here!
